The Top 100

It seems, just like people, no two buildings are alike. Here are three maps for you to peruse of the largest 100 buildings in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. The buildings have come from the new LINZ pilot building outlines dataset you can find here. The size of these buildings has been taken from area of the “2D shapes of the edge of a building as visible from aerial imagery”. It can be hard to imagine some of these shapes as real building outlines, take a look and see if you can guess some of the more iconic New Zealand buildings.
